The Emergency Community Support Fund provided a significant grant for counselling services for our region.
CARING CONNECTIONS COUNSELLING thru COVID-19 Project
has been overwhelming successful in assisting individuals facing financial barriers to access professional counselling services to assist them overcome mental health issues during the pandemic. Supporting individuals to navigate through their challenges and minimize the effects of some of the traumatic events that are occurring in our region, especially for persons with little or no income. This project has addressed some of the psychological impacts of social isolation from a diverse range of demographic groups and has utilized innovative ways to reach individuals with online personal counselling to help address the trauma they have dealt with, or are facing, with qualified professional counsellors.

Dawson Creek Catholic Social Services Society is a non-denominational and multi-function agency, whose aim is to improve the quality of life for all individuals living in our region. Additional programs that are currently being operated are the:
• BLADERUNNERS PROGRAM, serving Youth-At-Risk aged 15 – 30 (inclusive)
• Job Search & Support Services for RECENT IMMIGRANTS AND VISIBLE MINORITIES
• Skills Training for Employment Programs serving:
• INDIVIDUALS WITH MULTIPLE-BARRIERS
• SURVIVORS OF VIOLENCE AND/OR ABUSE
