Bryna, born in Dawson Creek, raised on a farm outside of the City limits, studied at both the University of Northern British Columbia and Dalhousie University. After University, Bryna took the opportunity to travel the world, but always knew that she would one day return to the Peace Region and her close-knit family.
Bryna began her work with non-profits as a community grant writer, working on behalf of the City of Dawson Creek. Since then, Bryna has worked for the Peace River Regional District for the last number of years, and is proud of the work that she does for parks and rural recreation with that organization. Bryna has also sat on the executive of the South Peace Mile 0 Parks Society since 2019, which manages the Mile 0 Park, on the outskirts of Dawson Creek. In this role, she has observed how the hard work of committed people have created a beautiful community spaces.
Bryna believes that non-profit organizations build livable and vibrant communities, and that we should all do our part to make our corner of the world a little brighter.
